Year Five of the 100th Anniversary 10-Year Countdown Special Event

The 95th Anniversary event took place15-23 February, 2025 (UTC)

The Northern Arizona DX Association will be continuing with year five of the 10-year special event countdown to the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Pluto by Clyde Tombaugh at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona. This annual 9-day event is held each February through the 2030 anniversary. This year's event will take place February 15-23, 2025 (UTC).

Club members operated from Lowell Observatory and their home QTHs using the special event callsign W7P. This year's QSL card centered around the 10th Anniversary of the New Horizon's space probe's visit to Pluto with lots of information about the communications gear used to send back its collected data.

Doug Tombaugh (N3PDT), Clyde Tombaugh's nephew, operated during the event as W7P/0 and those contacts with Doug or his team counts as an additional endorsement on the certificate and can also be used as a wild card for any previous missed year.

A beautiful color certificate suitable for framing and endorsement stickers for each year worked during the event, are still available. The annual QSL cards, the event certificate, and more info can be found HERE.

2025 was a banner year for the event with more QSOs, both CONUS and DX, than any previous year.

W7P: 5375 Contacts - W7P/0: 1350 Contacts - 183 DX Entities
